Experience
Shannon has written in-depth on dozens of topics over the last few decades, including medical and health, home improvement, higher education, real estate, gardening, relationships, and much more. But writing about houses is what she really loves.
Shannon has been interested in home improvement since the day she bought her first fixer-upper. Since then her home renovation and restoration journey has included a 1902 Victorian in Tennessee, a 1950’s rambler on the Georgia coast, an 1860-era home in the Pennsylvania wilderness, and a drafty 1930’s farmhouse in a tiny town in Kentucky.
Today she splits her time between Kentucky and Nevada, where she’s happily building a home in the desert. When she’s not renovating, designing, or writing about homes, she’s writing novels.
